About Batu Caves
Batu Caves is a limestone hill that houses a series of caves and cave temples located in Selangor, Malaysia. The sprawling complex consists of three main caves and several smaller ones, with the Temple Cave being the most popular. The 272-step staircase leading up to the temple is flanked by towering golden statues and offers spectacular views of the surrounding area. It is a popular tourist spot and is also considered a sacred site for the Hindu community, who gather here during the annual Thaipusam festival.
