Tanana is a small city in the interior region of Alaska, located on the banks of the Tanana River. Originally inhabited by the Koyukon Athabascan people, it has a rich history as a trading post and gold rush boomtown. The city is home to around 250 residents, who rely primarily on subsistence hunting and fishing for their livelihoods.
