Arco is a quaint city in Butte County, Idaho, located in the high desert region of the state. Known as the "first atomic city," Arco was the location of the first nuclear power plant to produce electricity for a community in 1955. Today, Arco remains a charming small town with a population of around 1,000. It offers outdoor recreational opportunities, including hiking, fishing, and camping, as well as historic sites, such as the Experimental Breeder Reactor-1 Atomic Museum.
